There are more with us than with them.
Be encouraged, you who are troubled in heart, and do not be shaken.
2Ch 32:7 Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:
Throw off every thing that hinders you and every sin, all the negative words from others and from the devil himself, throw it aside, as an old useless worn out garment. Blind Bartemeous. Mar 10:46-52. This life with Jesus is REAL, it is powerful, it is true.
Some once said a similar statement like this, “God is with you, so you have the majority.”
Yes, if you are all alone right now, you are really NOT alone right now. Your God and Father is watching over you right now.
He is for you and not against you. You have just allowed your eyes and attention to be taken off of this truth.
What father will leave his children in need?
Remember, there is nothing that the enemy, satan, or any of his demons, can do to harm you. All that is waiting for you in Heaven, that city where Abraham was looking forward to, can never be touched by the devil or by any human being. Think about that.
Jesus has returned to prepare a place for you. And he is coming back to take us home someday. Joh 14:1-3.
There will always be things that will try to weigh you down, there will be sin that presses you on all sides.
But let us run with patience, with endurance, as in a marathon, the race that is set before us.
What does marathon do?
First, a marathon runner knows that the race is long distance, not a short sprint.
Second, he trains to prepare for that race, learning to pace himself through every type of terrain, up hill, down hill, rain, heat, obstacles, and distratctions to get us off track, etc.
Third, and most important is the goal. He must keep his eye on the goal, to finish the race, to win the race, and NEVER NEVER QUIT.
NEVER NEVER GIVE UP!
So how do we, as disciples of Jesus, run this race of newness of life, this glorious race throughout our life-time, a race, indeed, that we all must run and indeed are running?
We do so by LOOKING at our Champion, our Lord Jesus, who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He started and completed His race for us to save us. He had kept that wonderful and glorious goal, the glorious joy set before Him, which encouraged Him and caused Him to endure with patience, the cross. It caused Him to despise the shame of all that was thrown at Him; carrying all of our sin and the shame of it upon Himself on the cross, carrying the full and complete wrath of God for all of our sin upon Himself, from the very beginning to the very end. Jesus PAID IT ALL!
Jesus did not back down, He did not shirk from the race, but for the joy that was set before Him, the joy of being with His Father at His right hand again, the joy of opening a new and living way that all people everywhere can be saved once and for all through His sacrifice, His shedding of His blood to pay for our sins, His burial, and His resurrection on the third day after His death, the joy of sending the Holy Spirit upon and in all who would believe and receive Jesus by grace through faith, the joy of instituting the NEW covenant in His blood, the joy of preparing a place for you and me, and the joy of coming back again some day at the Father’s perfect timing, to bring all of us who are longing and waiting for His return, to bring all of us home to Heaven to be with Him, with the Father and Holy Spirit and all the saints and holy angels forever and ever! Amen!
Jesus won the race, He defeated the devil, all the demon, sin and death, hell and the grave, your sin and my sin, all of this. And Jesus triumphed over everything and has now ascended back to the Father to sit at His right hand, being given the name that is above every name that is named.
And Jesus will save and keep you all the way to the end of your race as well.
So keep looking unto Jesus, with faith, with hope, and with His deep and everlasting love being constantly poured into your heart by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is coming back soon.
What does looking to mean? It means to consider Jesus that he did for you and me. Why?
Lest we be wearied and faint in our minds.
The Lord truly loves us, and as a GOOD, GOOD FATHER, He trains us through all of life’s events to make us strong and endure as Jesus by the strength of the Lord and His Spirit. Remember what Jesus said, Mat 5:8-12; Joh 16:33. Mat 10:28. Rev 3:14-22.
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mat 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Luk 10:3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Also, Jesus said:
Mat 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Earthly fathers and our Heavenly Father teach and train us.
So, because we are children of God, keep looking unto Jesus, keep pressing on with Him, for there is an eternal reward waiting for those who endure to the end. Heb 12:12.
The exhortation is Heb 12:12-17.
Consider where you have and can come right now. Heb 4:16. Heb 12:18-24.
Se that you refuse NOT Him that speaketh, to save us, to keep us, to help us, who makes us strong in Him.
Do not turn back, do not turn away, do not give up the race or let down your guard. Stay focused on Jesus.
This race is temporal, it is temporary, and it will not last forever. But the reward that is waiting for you who are in Jesus is ETERNAL and can never fade away or be stolen or damaged or destroyed.
God is shaking all things in the world right now, who is going shaking both earth but and heaven, removing those things which can be shaken, that we learn to shake off and remove ALL that is not important to our walk with Jesus.
Paul and the snake. Yes, there may be pain now, but no eternal effects.
That which will never be shaken is the kingdom of God, of our Lord Jesus Christ who is soon returning.
We need to be wise as serpents in this world, but HARMLESS AS DOVES. We need to be walking in the fulness of the Holy Spirit and His power, trusting in the Word of God and the wisdom He gives us in Christ.
Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Our God is so much more intensse than any firey trial you may go through in this life. Let Him who is a consuming fire, consume all your darkness and fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit and Fire from Heaven, that you may run this glorious eternally rewarding race of faith in Jesus alone.
Jesus is Lord, Jesus is King, Jesus is the only Savior, and Jesus is here with us now, and Jesus is literally coming back soon. Amen.
