What does the Bible say we are to do when we go through tribulation, when we encounter very trying, turbulent, and heart-breaking circumstances? You may be experiencing this right now.
Jesus said these words to His disciples. John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
It is the will of God that you HAVE HIS PEACE! It is not peace that comes from this world but from Jesus Christ Himself. God is not against you, He is for you. This is how we can be better in times that are bitter.

The peace that God gives is NOT from religion but from a real personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus whom He sent to save us. When you KNOW Jesus personally, you will experience the peace of God.
True peace is not the absence of trouble, but knowing and being in the presence of God who is our peace.
Too much has been said of religion being the answer. This is not what the Bible says at all. The answer for all of life’s problems, for all of our problems is stated by Jesus Himself when He said to Thomas these words.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
In other words, Jesus is our peace, and He is our answer, not religion, not other people, not our own will-power, education, position, bank account or some other worldly thing, but the Person Jesus! He is alive and He can change your life for the better. In this way you do not have to be bitter.
If you know in your heart that you need the peace of God, then this message is for you. How can you connect with God who loves you so much and who is so near to you right now?
The Bible tells us in Romans 10:13 that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:13 For “WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.”
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE, WHO BRING GLAD TIDINGS OF GOOD THINGS!”
Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?”
Rom 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
No matter what your situation is right now, no matter how terrible it is, there is ONE Person who promised to never leave you nor forsake you, and that is Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:20, Hebrews 13:5-6.

Yes, and no matter what you have done, no matter how deep the sin you are in or have committed, there is hope, there is an answer of peace for you right now. Jesus is the answer for the world today, He is the One who can and will make your life better even when life is bitter. Knowing Jesus personally is the key, and knowing His Word and His presence daily will make you an overcomer by His grace through faith.
Choose to come to Him right now in your weariness and with your heavy burdens and He will give you rest. Call upon Him and He will answer you, and show you great and might things that you do not know. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Matthew 11::28, Jeremiah 33:3, Romans 10:17.
This is how we can experience Him. We have all sinned and gone our own way. We do not know God personally, but He still loves us. He has demonstrated this truth by sending His only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins, taking our punishment for our sins against God. Jesus died, and then He was buried. But on the third day He rose again by the power of God and is alive today.
He was seen by many before going back to Heaven. He is seated at the right hand of God and intercedes for us who know Him. He has poured out His Holy Spirit upon His people that they may take this message of salvation and peace with God to the whole world.
My prayer for you is that you will hear Jesus’ voice calling you right now because He loves you, and that you will turn from whatever situation you are in and turn to Jesus by His grace through faith, call upon Him, ask Him to save you, give Him your whole life, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior who loves you with an everlasting love, and by His Spirit who will come into you and make you a new creation in Christ Jesus, begin to live the better life and not a bitter life.
God will answer. He will not lie or change His mind. He has said it, and He will perform what He said. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Jesus can do all these things and more as you know Him, love Him, trust Him, and follow Him each day by the help of the Holy Spirit and the life-changing power of the Word of God.
God bless you richly in Jesus name! Amen.
