God wants you to have true peace
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (All scripture is from the KJV)

It is God’s desire that you and I have peace, true peace. Jesus said, “in Me you might have peace,” but “in the world you shall have tribulation.”
While we are living in this world, we will experience tribulation, trials, temptations, struggles, heartaches and suffering of many kinds, yet through them all, we still can have true peace. God’s plan is for you to have this peace IN Jesus Christ, His Son.
This kind of peace is NOT of this world; no, no! This peace is a place, a state of being, where a person who is IN Christ Jesus, and Jesus Christ is IN him by His Holy Spirit, so that we may have and experience God’s peace inwardly deep within our heart and spirit, guarding our heart and mind. So we do not have to be anxious about anything.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Jesus said, “in Me, you might have peace.”
True peace is found only by placing your faith in Jesus Christ, in really knowing Him personally who is alive right now.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
When you are tired and weary, you come into the house and sit down in a comfortable chair to rest. You don’t worry that the chair will not hold you. You know and believe it will, so you can rest and have a sense of peace. It is the same with God and His Word.
Jesus said these words:
Matthew 11:28 Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
It is so simple to have this peace of God today, as simple as coming in and sitting your full weight down in a comfortable chair. You can receive God’s peace right now, no matter what your condition or situation you are facing.
You see, Jesus came into the world and overcame the world, all the sin, sickness, evil, satan, and death for you! All of these evil things are enemies of God, against God who loves us so much and sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins against God and others, then He was buried. But on the third day, He rose again by the power of the Holy Spirit of God, to save all who will believe. Sin is actually your enemy as well, because it will destroy you, and God certainly does not want you to perish.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God wants you to come to Him to have true peace that this world cannot give you. It is a peace that surpasses all your understanding. Therefore, it is by being IN Jesus Christ, in a right relationship with Him that is personal and intimate, that we can have peace.
How can I have this peace of God?
There was a man who asked this question to Paul and Silas who were in prison for proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Hear there conversation: (words in parenthesis are mine and meant to clarify the context. For the full story, reads Acts 16).
Act 16:30 And (the jailer) brought them out, and said (to Paul and Silas), Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Act 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
Act 16:33 And he (the jailer) took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
Act 16:34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
The Bible says we need to make a decision, to change our mind and heart. It is called repentance. We repent by turning from our sin, our way of living, doing everything our own way, and turn to Jesus, confessing our sin to Jesus in prayer, asking His forgiveness, and then putting our total faith and trust in Him to save us and set us free.
God will answer you, He will forgive you, and He will save you. John 3:16-17.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
The Holy Spirit of God will come into you right now and make His home in you, in your spirit. And you will experience peace with God and have the peace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. You will become a child of God, being born-again of the Spirit of God. You can begin to live an abundant life with God as your perfect Heavenly Father.
Through faith in Jesus and His Word, you can overcome the world in and continue in this amazing peace of God. 1 John 5:4; Philippians 4:13; Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed;
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
One day soon, Jesus is coming back for His own people, for those who have repented and put their faith only in Him. He will never disappoint them, and they shall never be ashamed. They shall all be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. This day when believers shall be with Jesus will be the most glorious day, for we shall see Him face-to-face. We shall be with Jesus forever. He will make a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells. All sin and evil, and all who offend God will be gone forever in hell, in the lake of fire.
Therefore, let us bring this wonderful message of hope, of faith, and of love, to all who are weary and burdened, that they may have peace, even as you who really know Jesus Christ. His peace will be with you always, and His grace to save all who believe, is truly amazing, for it is AMAZING GRACE!
May you experience true peace and freedom today in Jesus name! Amen.
